It can be worn on its own or as a backup to other period products for added security.

It is designed to provide protection in and out of the water without bulk, but for longer swims or heavier flow days, using additional menstrual protection is recommended for extra peace of mind.

Many OB-GYNs recommend period underwear as a gentle, non-invasive alternative to disposable period products, especially on lighter flow days. Before washing, rinse the menstrual blood with water from the faucet against the crotch until the water becomes transparent. You can put it in the washing machine to wash at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees. You can use softener or special underwear detergent, and you can dry it. We have done drying tests and there will be no loss of clothing functionality.

After use, rinse your period underwear or swimwear in cold water, running water directly through the gusset until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess menstrual blood before washing.

Machine wash on a delicate cycle at a maximum of 30°C. You may use a mild detergent, fabric softener, or a specialized underwear detergent if desired.

Air drying is recommended to help extend the life of the garment. However, we have conducted drying tests to ensure durability, and tumble drying will not compromise the garment’s protective functionality.
